Blue birds recycled tablecloth shirt

Patchwork shirt or blouse made from a selection of vintage embroidered linen.

The front right panel is printed with a 'Blue Birds 3 Piece Vanity Set' - one large scallop-edge mat and two matching coasters. The flowers, birds and bows embroidery has been partly completed, so the transfers are visible in places, which really gives a connection to the person who started the stitching. The back of the shirt features a border of fresh spring flowers.

Finished off with a patch pocket made from an appliqué coaster/mat edged in the tiniest black blanket stitch, and found shell buttons. The beautiful quality vintage linen gives this shirt a lovely weight and hang.

As ever, this one-off piece was made by me entirely from not-new materials.
