Dreamcoat patchwork recycled blanket jacket

I'd been planning this jacket and gathering precious offcuts from previous projects for quite a while, and suddenly it all came together with the addition of a plain orange wool blanket.

Nice and roomy with wide sleeves for easy layering, a curved hem for maximum cosiness, a little stand-up collar, a hanging loop, brown cotton binding and found shell buttons, this fun-to wear jacket is a real technicolour dreamcoat. I'm in love with the big fringed pockets!

Of course I had to keep the Co-op Pure New Wool Made in Great Britain label from the orange blanket, which I have re-attached inside the facing.

Roughly a size L - best for UK14-18 depending on desired fit. Please see measurements in the dropdown menu.

As ever, this one-off piece was designed and made by me entirely from found, not-new materials.
