Golden linen tablecloth shirt

A stunning, all-seasons shirt made from a loose-weave vintage linen tablecloth in cheery golden yellow and white, with Bargello-style embroidered details.

The colours are beautiful - from the orange, brown, black and teal embroidery to the wide, egg yolk/mustard yellow borders - and the fabric is lovely and soft. I love finding laundry labels in the corners of old tablecloths - in this case there were two: '193' and '78'. I moved them to the front corner near the hem where they'd be visible.

This one-of-a-kind shirt will be a year-round wardrobe favourite layered up with something underneath, and just as good worn on it's own in the warmer months.
