Hand-pieced recycled patchwork quilt vest
Hand-pieced recycled patchwork quilt vest
Tie-front vest/waistcoat made from a reworked hand-pieced 1970s patchwork quilt top.
Lined with found cotton/polycotton cosy off-white fleece and bound with pink linen, with two large patch pockets - one featuring two swans!
The last three images show the reverse of the patchwork and the tiny hand stitches that join the patches together. There were some areas of damage to this quilt top which was why I was OK with cutting into it to rescue the precious good bits and use them for this piece.
As ever, this one-off item was lovingly handmade by me (and in this case the maker of the original patchwork) entirely from found and not-new materials.
Roughly size M. This is pretty versatile in size due to the tie fastening but please see dropdown for measurements
