Birds reclaimed linen tablecloth shirt

Made from a combination of two (and a bit) beautiful quality part-finished bird-themed linen tablecloths. As I have mentioned before, I love it when this type of embroidery is incomplete and you can see the transfers in places. Especially when the tablecloths are made of this really nice unbleached slightly textured linen.

As usual I laundered these tablecloths before use and the transfers stayed in place. There's a chance they may fade over time with repeated washing, which is all part of the fabric's story.

100% linen and finished off with found shell buttons, side splits and a hanging loop incorporating part of the original transfer.
