Patchwork quilt vest

Cosy vest made from a vintage patchwork quilt. Fabrics include four types of polka dots, some florals, a couple of paisley-ish Liberty-ish prints and some great squiggles. All lovely soft, lightly faded cottons. It was hard to date the quilt as some of the fabrics look like they could be 1930s, but I'm going to say it's from the 60s.
When you cut into a quilt you never know what you'll find inside - in this case, the wadding was a nice thin wool blanket. Which means this vest, finished off with black binding cut from a cotton remnant, large patch pockets and slightly oversized found off-white buttons, makes a lightweight but cosy layer, ideal for the in-between seasons.
Roughly a size M-L. Please see measurements in the dropdown menu.
As ever, this one-off piece was lovingly made by me in my home studio, entirely from not-new materials.
