Quilted patchwork tote bag #5

Spacious, squishy, double-sided, quilted tote bag featuring appliqué 1930s Dresden Plate patchwork blocks on the back and front.

Each patchwork block is made up of patches of absolutely beautiful vintage cotton floral prints typical of the era, on a calico base.

Phone-sized (depending on the size of your phone) internal pocket made from patchwork offcuts with brown binding. Straps made from found black wool webbing long enough to go over your shoulder.

I cut and made five bags from a large quilt - I think someone had found a collection of antique Dresden Plate blocks and appliquéd and quilted them on to newer calico. The close-up photos in this listing show this particular one-of-a-kind bag.
