Pixel cross stitch recycled tablecloth blouse

Made from a beautiful soft lovely quality unbleached linen tablecloth, with cross stitch motifs left unfinished.

As I've mentioned before, I absolutely love a piece of unfinished embroidery, with the washed-out blue of the transfer still visible and the way the gaps in the pattern give an abstract look to the design. I washed this tablecloth (as usual) before cutting into it, and was pleased to see the transfers still visible. They may fade over time with repeated washing, which all adds to the story of this vintage textile, but for now they are there to be seen and appreciated!
