Quilted zip pocket boxy top

The inspiration for this came from the 70s French magazine 100 Idées. I love the idea of a quilted top for this time of year and beyond, not outerwear but nice and warm over a jumper. The zip-up pocket makes it feel like more of a bag or purse than a pocket as if you could keep really important things in there :)

Made from three quilted layers of cotton - blue and purple stripey outside, red and white gingham inside with some cotton sweatshirt fabric providing a light wadding, this between-seasons quilted top has a boat-style wide neckline and fastens with three shell buttons on the shoulder.

As ever, made entirely from not-new found materials that have spoken to me this month.
