Welsh wool vest

It took me ages to decide which side of this vibrant vintage Welsh tapestry fabric to use for the outside of this vest - in the end I went for the predominantly green side and used the predominantly blue for the pockets, also visible on the inside. 

This started life as a fabric panel rather than a Welsh wool blanket, which I wouldn't have been able to bring myself to cut up! Bound with navy wool, finished with three found shell buttons, large armholes for easy layering and generous angled patch pockets, the hem dips down at the back for maximum cosiness.

As ever, this one-of-a-kind item was lovingly made by me entirely from not-new materials.
