Word Salad recycled embroidered linen shirt

I've been collecting vintage linen embroidered with words - including a sewing apron, brush and comb bag, nightie cases, a stockings case, a snaps case, part of a 1930s sampler and even a linen Radio Times cover - for ages, and decided they would look great deconstructed and reconstructed into this shirt, which I have called Word Salad.

All linen, with found shell buttons, there are so many excellent details on this shirt, but I especially love the way the word ‘sewing’ on the back yoke has been stitched freehand with a little flourish underneath, the back-to-front 4 on the collar. And the Good Night on the front of course.
